What is the difference between EcoResin and NatuResin?

NatuResin is characterised by a slightly higher strength of the fully cured product and a uniform mass after mixing, without dots. The advantage of EcoResin is its lower price; however, it may leave small white dots in the mixed mass, which may be undesirable for some creators.

Use:

Simply mix the powder with water in a weight ratio of 100:30 (100 grams of EcoResin and 30 grams of water), colour, and pour into a mould. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in reduced strength, slower curing and reduced product life.

Processing and application:

1) Prepare a sufficiently large container in which you can comfortably mix both components. The container must be dry and clean. To ensure optimal consistency and quality results after application, it is necessary to ensure a sufficient temperature of the environment and the casting material during mixing (approx. 20 °C). Low temperatures have a negative effect on the final result. The environment should not be exposed to direct sunlight or have excessive humidity (no more than 40% humidity).

2) First, weigh the liquid, then gradually add the pre-weighed powder component, mixing continuously. Continue mixing until both components are completely combined and the mixture is liquid and free of lumps. The processing time is approximately 12–15 minutes. However, do not delay the pouring, as the mixture may mature faster in larger mixed quantities and depending on the temperature.

3) After mixing, you can colour EcoResin with a wide range of EcoResin colours, COLORFUN, Dye Solution, or powder colours to create beautiful products with pastel shades. However, you can also produce castings without colouring them, resulting in semi-finished products for further colouring and other creative uses. We recommend adding the colour in a maximum amount of approximately 2% of the total weight of the mixed casting compound. Please note that while powder colours retain their colour, they do not retain their metallic sheen.

4) Pour into a silicone mould. The layer thickness is unlimited. Gently tap the filled mould from the sides, or create vibrations on the surface. This will promote the release of air bubbles from the mixture that occur during mixing.

5) You don't have to wait long for the product; you can remove it from the mould in 40-60 minutes. Full curing: 4–15 hours.

Tip: Not sure how much EcoResin casting compound you will need for your moulds? Before casting, weigh how much water will fit into the chosen mould. Multiply this weight by 1.5 and you have the approximate weight of dry ingredients needed to create your original product.

Other uses: EcoResin is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. However, for outdoor use it is recommended to treat the product with a protective varnish.
